Customer Critiques

I thought I had done my study on this machine but man was I wrong! Just after I had bought this machine, I read that there is NO Distinction among this one and the SE 400 which you can invest in for a full 1 hundred dollars less! The SE 400 is 369.00 correct now on Amazon.com. Oh yes, there is a distinction, you have the name project runway on your sewing machine and you get the small bag to cart your sewing machine about in. For that, you spend an extra 100 bucks! I never ever had any intention of using the bag, I would be embarrassed to cart about my sewing machine in a P.R. bag, I bought this one particular simply because I was told it was advised by consumer reports so I looked no further. Don't get me wrong, this machine does what it says and is fun but the hoop is small and you have to buy bigger hoops to use the larger styles. I could have spent that added 100 on bigger hoops or the embroidery thread you have to obtain. Know also that the thread for an embroidery machine is rather pricey. As are the hoops. Program on spending at the highly least another 60.00 on additional hoops and the thread for the machine is 5.25 for a complete size spool. The smaller ones are less costly but you get a lot much less thread and the machine makes use of a lot of thread. Even with only the basic 8 colors, you have 42.00 bucks in thread and don't kid your self into thinking you can get by with only 8 colors. I would get this machine once again but not the Project Runway machine, it would be the SE 400. I was taking into consideration not posting this review considering that its embarrassing to admit you had been too stupid to appear a bit further but maybe an individual out there will benefit from the pricey lesson I have learned.

The LB6800 is a beautiful machine with laptop or computer connectivity so you can download free embroidery styles from the internet. As a 'Project Runway' model it seems a little bit improved made than a model made specially for the 'big box' stores. It sews and embroiders really properly but I had difficulties at first with old and non branded threads. Having said that, getting bought Robison Anton threads and Madeira threads I have embroidered a few items for my grandchildren and they were breathtaking. I have because created some curtains with heavy duty fabric with a velvet insert. The machine sews well over double and triple thickness quietly and smoothly without having the 'clunking' sound my previous model made. It has so a number of attributes it may take a whereas to find out them all but I truly enjoy this machine. It also comes with an appealing rolling cart for taking the machine to classes which will guard it and the embroidery unit from knocks and scrapes. All in all I am pretty happy I purchased this machine.
